Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a financial services partner located in the Bloomington area needing to add to their Accounts Receivable team!

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and apply customer payments (ACH, wire, lockbox, checks, credit cards) to customer accounts
- Post daily cash receipts and ensure timely recording in the accounting system
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, short pays, and overpayments
- Reconcile payment batches and cash receipts to bank activity
- Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation
- Collaborate with Collections, Billing, and Customer Service teams to resolve account issues
- Handle customer inquiries related to payments and account balances
- Support month-end close activities, including AR and cash reconciliations
- Assist with audit requests by providing payment documentation and reports
- Follow internal controls, SOX requirements (if applicable), and company policies
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, payment processing, or related accounting role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to meet daily deadlines in a high-volume environment
